Compass Pro ("the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data, what permissions we request, and how third-party services may process information when you use Compass Pro on Android.

Location Data

Compass Pro uses your device's GPS to display your current location coordinates, altitude, and accuracy metrics. This location data is:

• Processed locally on your device only. We do not transmit your GPS coordinates to external servers or store them permanently.
• Used only for the features you see on screen — displaying coordinates in decimal degrees (DD) and degrees-minutes-seconds (DMS) format, showing your altitude above sea level, and calculating accuracy estimates.
• Required for full app functionality. Without GPS permission, location-dependent features (coordinates, altitude, weather location, saved places) will not work.

Your location is not shared with us, your mobile carrier, or any third party outside of the weather data provider (see "Weather Data" below).

App Permissions

Compass Pro does not request background location permission. The app only accesses location when it is actively running on your screen.

Weather Data

Compass Pro retrieves live weather information (temperature, wind speed, humidity, sunrise/sunset times) based on your GPS location. This weather data is obtained from a third-party weather API, which may log your location request as part of normal server operations. Weather data is displayed in the app only and is not retained by us.

Saved Places

When you save a location (coordinates, altitude, bearing) within Compass Pro, this data is stored locally on your device only in the app's private storage. Saved places are not synchronized with cloud servers, our servers, or any third-party service.

Advertising

Compass Pro may display ads powered by Google AdMob. Google AdMob may collect:

• Advertising ID (a unique identifier for ad personalization)
• General location information (city/region level only, not precise GPS)
• Device information (OS version, device model, language settings)
• App interaction data (which ads you see, engagement metrics)

Subscriptions & In-App Purchases

If Compass Pro offers premium features via subscription, subscription billing and management may be handled by RevenueCat or Google Play Billing. These services may process:

• Your Google Play account ID
• Subscription status and purchase history
• Billing information (handled by Google Play, not stored by us)

Analytics & Crash Reporting

Compass Pro may use analytics services to collect:

• App crashes and error logs (to help us fix bugs)
• Feature usage statistics (which screens you visit, how often)
• Device and OS information (to ensure compatibility)

This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally. It helps us improve app stability and performance.

Data Retention

• Saved places: Stored on your device indefinitely until you delete them.
• Location readings: Not retained. GPS data is displayed in real-time and not logged by the app.
• Analytics/crash logs: Typically retained by third-party services for 30–90 days.
• Advertising ID: Managed by Google; you can reset it in Android settings.

Your Rights & Controls

You can:

• Revoke permissions at any time in Android Settings > Apps > Compass Pro > Permissions.
• Delete saved places directly within the app.
• Disable personalized ads by opting out in Google Play Settings or resetting your Advertising ID.
• Request data deletion by uninstalling the app, which removes all locally stored data.

Third-Party Services

Compass Pro may link to external websites (e.g., Google Play store page). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of external sites. Please review their privacy policies independently.

Data Security

Your location and saved places are stored locally on your device and protected by Android's app-level security. We do not store sensitive data on remote servers. However, no mobile app can guarantee absolute security; always keep your device software updated.

Children's Privacy

Compass Pro is not directed to children under 13. If a parent or guardian believes their child has provided personal information to us, please contact us immediately.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of Compass Pro after changes means you accept the updated policy.
